Shigochiyo Tanaka pitched well, but his team, the Tortolita Drummers, still dropped a 4-2 decision to the Hialeah Dodos at Drummers Ballpark. Stan Lowe earned his 11th save in 15 tries. With the win, the Dodos improved to 36-45.

In the top of the first, Dylan Carson ambushed a 1-0 fastball from Shigochiyo Tanaka and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Hialeah a quick 2-0 lead.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Carson told the Hialeah Bulletin. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
