The Tortolita Drummers did just enough to sneak past the Hialeah Dodos, 8-7, at Drummers Ballpark. Tortolita second baseman Augusto Encarnación earned player of the game honors. The 7th-place Dodos have lost 5 straight games.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Encarnación hit a curveball from Stan Lowe for a run-scoring single. The Drummers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Encarnación said.
