Starks Win in Glorious Fashion
The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win at Stark Stadium today.

Manny Gonzáles had a good game, but he could not keep the Alloway Halberds from falling, 10-9, to the Syracuse Starks at Stark Stadium. The Alloway catcher was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Syracuse reliever Christiaan Volkers picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-2. Manuel Montero was collared with the loss.

Jean Couturier, who leads the SAAA in bases on balls with 57, chipped in for Syracuse with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the tenth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 runs batted in.

"This place was rockin'," Couturier said.

The Starks now have a mark of 26-43.
