Dodos right fielder Leon Green put his stamp on his team's 5-2 win over the Tortolita Drummers. Green went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Hialeah in the contest. Will Snell got the win, improving to 3-3. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 0. Earning his 1st save of the year was Kenneth Ferrell.
The Drummers had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Dodos going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 27-year old first baseman Tae-gyoon Ch'oe came to the plate. Ch'oe hit a run-scoring single on a 2-0 cutter from Tortolita hurler Freddy Calcines. It was Ch'oe's 38th hit of the year.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Ch'oe, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
At 25-32, Hialeah is in 6th place in the Silver AAA.
