Hotspur Reserves Edge Past Dodos, 3-2
|
Fans who gathered at Thunderbirds Stadium saw a good contest between the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves and Hialeah Dodos.
Phoenix rode a good effort from starter Larry Souder to beat the Hialeah Dodos at Thunderbirds Stadium. The final score was 3-2. The win was Neal Burns's in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Wendell Drabek took the loss for Hialeah. Getting the save was José Muńóz, his 1st.
Daniel Joseph helped out the Phoenix cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder went 2-4 with 2 singles.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Souder said.
After today's action, Phoenix sits at 21-31, while Hialeah falls to 23-29.
