Starks Come Up Short at Sunset District
Fog Park was the site of a tense game between the Syracuse Starks and Sunset District Fog.

The Sunset District Fog eked out a 3-2 win versus the Syracuse Starks at Fog Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Mark Smith, who captured player of the game honors. Sunset District now has a 3-game win streak.

Doug Cole made an early impact for Sunset District when he stroked his 45th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which came with one out in the bottom of the second, put the Fog on top, 3-1.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Smith.
