Halberds Trip Disaster in Extras

The Alloway Halberds got a magnificent performance from pitcher Joe Holland, who muffled the Port Royal offense en route to a tight 2-1 Halberds win at Ballpark of Port Royal. Alloway reliever Felipe Aiba picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Joe Louter was saddled with the loss. Sterling Wheeler earned the save for Alloway, his 1st of the year.
Alloway used the timely hitting of Myron Rosenbalm to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Halberds on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We did just enough to win," Holland said.
The Halberds raised their record to 19-27.
