Starks Pin 8-5 Loss on Hotspur Reserves
|
With second baseman Jean Couturier leading the charge, the Syracuse Starks defeated the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves, 8-5, at Stark Stadium. Couturier, who leads the SAAA in bases on balls with 40, was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Starks' win now puts them at 18-27.
Couturier had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Starks went on to win.
"Enjoyed this one," Couturier told the Syracuse Today. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
