Karpinen goes 3-for-4 in Disaster Win
The Port Royal Disaster trumped the Florida Men, 11-6, at Psychos Ballpark. Port Royal second baseman Vesa Karpinen was named player of the game for his performance. He was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. Earning his 8th save of the year was Binjimen Victor. The Disaster raised their record to 26-11.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Benno Luby came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Florida pitcher Raúl Hinojosa, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Port Royal on top, 7-6.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Luby told the Port Royal Observer. "It's as simple as that."
