Dodos Turn Back Phoenix, 3-1

The Hialeah Dodos topped the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves, 3-1, in USSL Triple A action at Dodos Ballpark. The player of the game was Hialeah pitcher Will Snell. Hialeah reliever Wendell Drabek got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Coy Mitoglou was tagged with the loss. Picking up the save was James McNeil, his 4th.
Hialeah took a 3-1 lead on Eddie Neef's 8th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Neef hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Phoenix pitcher Coy Mitoglou shaking his head.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Hialeah manager Nick Allen said.
With the victory, the Dodos record now stands at 11-23.
