Victory Over Hotspur Reserves Takes Port Royal to 20-9
|
Port Royal and Phoenix duked it out at Ballpark of Port Royal and the Disaster came out victorious.
The Port Royal Disaster dealt the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves a 5-2 loss at Ballpark of Port Royal. Oki Hai was the star on offense. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs. Port Royal reliever Jerry Kumpf picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Dan Bell shouldered the loss. Earning his 4th save of the year was Binjimen Victor.
The Disaster got a big at-bat from left fielder Benno Luby. For the game, Luby went 1-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 13th double of the season gave Port Royal a 3-2 lead.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Hai told the Port Royal Observer.
Port Royal has an impressive 20-9 record.
