Men Lose, 5-2, at Dodos Ballpark

The Florida Men got a superb performance from pitcher Omar Morales. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Hialeah. The Dodos won the game, 5-2. In spite of the loss, Morales was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball. James McNeil, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. Even with the win, the Dodos have a dismal 7-14 record.
The Men had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Dodos going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 30-year old first baseman Dan Chrzan came to the plate. Chrzan hit a run-scoring single on a 1-1 slider from Florida hurler Omar Morales. It was Chrzan's 30th hit of the year.
Chrzan called the win "a collective effort."
