Tritons Roll to 11-3 Win Over Longnecks
|
The Jersey City Tritons downed the Bloomington Longnecks, 11-3, at Jersey City Grounds. Francisco Agámez led the way, going 2-for-4 for Jersey City. Jersey City bumps their record to 45-57 with the win.
Santiago Valentín had a big 2-run double for the Tritons in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Jersey City leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Charlie Fairthorne and stroked the double to right. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Tritons ahead, 5-2.
"We'll try to build on that win," Valentín told the Jersey City Daily News.
