Shamakani Helps Belugas Run Win Streak to 7

The Brinkley Belugas defeated the Texas Bronze Sox, 9-4, at Belugas Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Brinkley was center fielder Dean Shamakani. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The third-place Belugas have won 7 straight games.
Jim MacRach, the Brinkley designated hitter, contributed a 2-run double in the bottom of the second inning to make the score 4-0, Belugas. For the game, MacRach went 2-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Shamakani.
