|
Santa Barbara Golden Cranes starter Alan Halsall was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Bloomington Longnecks, 6-3. The winning pitcher was Halsall, now 6-4. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. Takejiro Masuda closed the door for Santa Barbara, picking up his 5th save of the year.
With a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the fourth inning, right fielder Juan Ramírez delivered big for the Golden Cranes. Santa Barbara was trailing 3-0 when he belted a 2-run home run.
"We did a lot of things right," said Halsall.
The Golden Cranes sit in 8th place in the Premier AAA with a record of 46-52.
