Texas and Calgary met at Lynx Stadium in front of a lively crowd.
The Texas Bronze Sox beat the Calgary Lynx, 8-5, at Lynx Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of first baseman Jayden Laming, who captured player of the game honors. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The win was credited to Érik Moreau in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Ángel Flores took the loss.
Texas relied on the hitting of Larry McLambroch to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bronze Sox on top, 7-5. For the game, McLambroch had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," McLambroch told the Texas News.
Texas is now 31-67, while Calgary is 51-47.
