Bakersfield and Sacramento duked it out at Sacramento Sanitation Station and the Nobles came out victorious.

Sacramento shortstop Quinn Albracht had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Albracht went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 times, even as Bakersfield beat the Redlegs, 9-6. Albracht was named the player of the game despite the loss. Bakersfield goes to 61-36. The win puts them 5 games up in their division.

Bakersfield used the timely hitting of John Mayasich to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Nobles on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Mayasich told the Bakersfield Gazette.
