Supernovas Come Back Late to Clip Humpbacks
|
Nuclear Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Scranton Supernovas and the Alaskan Humpbacks.
The Scranton Supernovas picked up a win at Nuclear Stadium, knocking off the Alaskan Humpbacks, 5-4. Starting pitcher Nick de la Fuente, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Scranton reliever Ales Kretky was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Job Janssen took the loss.
Ricardo Yates was the walk-off hero for Scranton. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Supernovas left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place was rockin'," said de la Fuente.
The Supernovas saw their record improve to 48-49.
