Redlegs Win Another One
The Sacramento Redlegs eked out a 4-3 win versus the Jersey City Tritons at Jersey City Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Tim Owens, who captured player of the game honors. Owens got the win, improving to 10-6. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Owens allowed 3 earned runs. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for Sacramento.

Sacramento used the clutch hitting of Carlos Sánchez to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Redlegs the lead, 4-2. For the game, Sánchez had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.
