Sergio Cruz made an impact in the 7-5 Calgary win over Brinkley. Cruz, who is tied for 5th in the PAAA in home runs with 15, was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Edgardo Nava, credited with the save, is now 3 for 3 in save opportunities. The slumping Belugas have dropped 9 in a row.
Cruz had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the fourth inning, when he hit a double. The Lynx went on to win.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Calgary manager Thomas Campbell.
