Port Royal and Sunset District duked it out at Fog Park and the Disaster came out victorious.

Behind a solid performance from first baseman Luis Benítez, the Port Royal Disaster defeated the Sunset District Fog, 3-0. Benítez went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times for the Disaster. The winner was Port Royal reliever Christian Clayton, now 1-0. The loser was Mark Smith. Govaart van Ankeren recorded his 1st save for Port Royal.

Port Royal used the timely hitting of Todd Pritchard to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Disaster on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Port Royal manager .

With the win, Port Royal pushes its record to 6-2.
