Belugas Lose Again, 2-1, to Supernovas
|
Scranton Supernovas starter Apollo Cepeda pitched a strong game against the Brinkley Belugas at Belugas Ballpark, leading the Supernovas to a 2-1 win. Cepeda went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-0. Magnus Belli notched his 19th save in 20 chances.
Scranton used the bat of Ricardo Yates to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Supernovas ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Apollo is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Scranton manager Andha Gangulee.
The Belugas, at 48-45, have lost 8 in a row.
