Clemente Goes Wild, But Redlegs Win
Texas got a terrific performance from catcher Gilberto Clemente, but it wasn't enough to beat the Sacramento Redlegs. Sacramento won the Bronze Sox Park contest, 15-8. Clemente was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Sacramento reliever Broderick Evans was credited with the win, to go to 4-3. Pak Dong Hyeon took the loss for Texas. The 5th-place Redlegs have won 5 in a row.

Wilson Sabadodíaz's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a fastball from Pak Dong Hyeon for a 2-run single. It put Sacramento in front, 10-8.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Sabadodíaz told the Sacramento Today.
