The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes went down to defeat to Gus Osborne and his Texas teammates. The final score was 5-2 in favor of the Bronze Sox. Manuel Torres, credited with the win, is now 2-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.2 innings. Earning his 19th save for Texas was Hercules Mata'afa.
Texas used the bat of Larry McLambroch to capture the win. The designated hitter jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Bronze Sox ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
In postgame comments, Osborne said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
