Humpbacks Top Longnecks Behind Gunter, 5-0
|
The Alaskan Humpbacks went home winners at Sea World, thanks in large part to starter Craig Gunter. Gunter silenced the Bloomington Longnecks, enabling Alaskan to grab the 5-0 win. Dave Lawson picked up the save for Alaskan, his 2nd of the year. The second-place Humpbacks have won 4 straight.
Gunter, now 2-8, scattered 1 hit over 6.2 innings for the Humpbacks.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Humpbacks manager John Carney, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
