Men CF Witteman goes 4-for-5 in Win
|
The Port Royal Disaster and Florida Men brought some excitement to Ballpark of Port Royal.
The Florida Men stopped the Port Royal Disaster, 9-3, at Ballpark of Port Royal. The Men got a big game from Duncan Witteman, who went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Roy Bell picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-0. He struck out 2 in 6 innings.
Florida relied on the bat of Jeff Mouton to get the win. The right fielder ripped a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Men ahead, 2-0. For the game, Mouton had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Witteman told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
With the win, Florida boosts its record to 2-3.
