The Disaster grabbed a win, 4-3, at Ballpark of Port Royal, overcoming a fine effort from Florida pitcher Tim Sharp. Sharp went 7 innings and allowed no earned runs. Port Royal, at 3-1, has sizzled in the early going.
Benno Luby was the walk-off hero for Port Royal. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Disaster left fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Luby. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
