The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes defeated the Jersey City Tritons, 4-3, in USPL Triple A action at Jersey City Grounds, with Santa Barbara pitcher Alan Halsall named player of the game. Jersey City's current losing streak is now 5 games.

Santa Barbara used the bat of Braxton Cottongame to get the win. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Golden Cranes ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

After the game, Santa Barbara manager Lockwood Rose applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
