Dennis Wacher was instrumental in his team's 5-3 triumph over the Texas Bronze Sox. The second baseman was 3-4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Bakersfield Nobles. Bakersfield reliever Mark Robinson picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Fred Proctor took the loss. Earning his 1st save of the year was Manuel Sánchez.
Bakersfield took a 4-1 lead on Wacher's 68th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which he hit off Manuel Torres in the top of the eighth, propelled Bakersfield to the win.
Wacher told a Bakersfield Gazette reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
Bakersfield leads the Premier AAA by 7½ games.
