Men Rally For Late Win Over Starks
The Florida Men eked out a 4-3 win versus the Syracuse Starks at Stark Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Pancho Covarrubias, who captured player of the game honors. Florida reliever Huibrecht Bik was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Christiaan Volkers. Wong Fei-Hung picked up the save, his 1st.

Tristan Eikelenboom aided the Florida cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth. For the game, the second baseman was 1-4 with a double.

"We take it day by day here," said Covarrubias, "and today was a good one for us."

The loss drops Syracuse to 2-1.
