The Bloomington Longnecks picked up a win at Lookouts Ballpark, knocking off the Brinkley Belugas, 2-1. Starting pitcher Leon Alfons played a key role in the triumph. John Walton got the save, his 2nd in 3 chances. The Longnecks go to 43-40, putting them 5th in the Premier AAA.

Onye Mahusay had a big run-scoring single for the Longnecks in the bottom of the second inning. With Bloomington leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a cutter from Raneem Zogby and stroked the single to center. It was his 46th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Longnecks ahead, 2-0.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Alfons said after the game.
