Supernovas Squelch Lynx Offense in Shutout Win
|
Scranton starter Joaquín Pérez put a stranglehold on the Calgary offense. The left-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Supernovas to a 4-0 win. Scranton has a 3-game win streak, while Calgary has lost 3 in a row.
Scranton relied on the hitting of Luke Kreijling to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put the Supernovas on top, 2-0. For the game, Kreijling had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Pérez.
