The Texas Bronze Sox picked up a win at Jersey City Grounds, knocking off the Jersey City Tritons, 9-0. Starting pitcher Gus Osborne played a key role in the triumph. Even with the win, the Bronze Sox have a dismal 27-54 record.

Texas catcher Miguel Herrera helped the Bronze Sox to the win. In the top of the fourth inning, the 34-year old catcher stroked a double. For the game, Herrera was 1 for 4 with a double.

Despite the victory, Osborne was prickly with assembled media after the game. He said only that he was "happy with the win."
