Bronze Sox Come Back Late to Clip Lynx
The Texas Bronze Sox beat the Calgary Lynx, 5-3, at Bronze Sox Park. The Bronze Sox got a fine performance from first baseman Jayden Laming, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Texas reliever Manuel Torres got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Aubrey McCrimmon was tagged with the loss. Hercules Mata'afa sewed up the save, his 15th.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Laming delivered big-time for Texas, stroking a dramatic 2-run home run off Aubrey McCrimmon. The game-changing hit put the Bronze Sox on top, 5-3.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Calgary manager Thomas Campbell. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."

The last-place Bronze Sox now have a 4-game winning streak.
