Humpbacks Beat Supernovas, 7-2
|
The Alaskan Humpbacks trumped the Scranton Supernovas, 7-2, at Sea World. Alaskan second baseman Kyuso Kouno was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2-3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Alaskan reliever Javier Montés picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Joaquín Pérez absorbed the loss. Picking up the save was Kingston Liniak, his 3rd.
The Humpbacks took the lead in the bottom of the third. With one out, Jon Moon hit a 3-run home run off Scranton pitcher Joaquín Pérez, putting Alaskan in front, 3-2. For the game, Moon was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"I thought we played a nice game," Moon told the Alaskan Daily News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
With the win, the Humpbacks improved to 35-28.
