Bronze Sox Come Back Late to Clip Lynx
It was a good time at Bronze Sox Park, where fans came to watch the Calgary Lynx and Texas Bronze Sox get after it.

The Texas Bronze Sox trumped the Calgary Lynx, 8-5, at Bronze Sox Park. Texas left fielder Joe Karnowski was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Hercules Mata'afa converted his 14th save in 14 tries.

In the bottom of the 8th, center fielder Jeff Reed gave Texas the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Bronze Sox had been trailing 4-3, but the two-out single off Calgary pitcher José Larranaga changed that -- and Texas went on to win.

In postgame comments to the Texas News, Reed said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

Even with the win, the Bronze Sox have a dismal 19-42 record.
