Redlegs Score Late to Upend Bronze Sox, 6-5
|
The inspired effort of Texas first baseman Jayden Laming was not enough to prevent a 6-5 loss to the Sacramento Redlegs. Laming went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. At 28-30, the Redlegs find themselves in 7th place in the Premier AAA.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Sacramento pinch hitter Roberto González, facing Hercules Mata'afa, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Redlegs the 6-5 win.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," González told the Sacramento Today.
