It was pandemonium at Jersey City Grounds after an exciting walk-off win.
The Jersey City Tritons wiggled past the Calgary Lynx, 4-3, at Jersey City Grounds. Jersey City designated hitter Jason Schneider earned player of the game honors. Reliever Mac Hippenhammer picked up the win. His record improves to 3-0. José Larranaga took the loss.
Late in the game, second baseman Manuel Márquez had a big at-bat for Jersey City. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single off Wai-ho Fan. The play gave the Tritons a 4-3 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Schneider told reporters after the game.
Jersey City's record now stands at 31-26, placing them 4th in the Premier AAA.
