The 2039 season is getting ugly for Texas.

The Alaskan Humpbacks beat the Texas Bronze Sox, 11-4, at Bronze Sox Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of shortstop Kyuso Kouno, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Alaskan occupies second place in the Premier AAA at 30-22.

Alaskan used the timely hitting of Pat Pending to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Humpbacks on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager John Carney said.
