The Lynx faced a stiff challenge from Bloomington pitcher Maru Pao Pao, but persevered to claim a win at Lynx Stadium. The final score was 3-2. Pao Pao went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Calgary reliever Lorenzo Díaz picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. John Walton took the loss. Ángel Romero was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
Had Mauro López not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, López hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Lynx.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said López. "And not try to do too much."
