Sacramento rode a decent outing from starter Tim Owens to victory over the Jersey City Tritons at Jersey City Grounds. The final score was 4-2. Marcel Bloemheuvel earned the save for Sacramento, his 1st of the year. Sacramento is 5th in the Premier AAA with a record of 18-17.

Sacramento used the timely hitting of Shihei Kichikawa to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Kichikawa told reporters after the game.
