Fans who gathered at Lookouts Ballpark saw a good contest between the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes and Bloomington Longnecks.

The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes grabbed a 6-4 win over the Bloomington Longnecks at Lookouts Ballpark. Santa Barbara second baseman John Ricks went 3-3 with a triple, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times to earn player of the game honors. Rust Cohle was the winner. Over 5 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts.

Santa Barbara used the timely hitting of Kyle Mullens to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Golden Cranes on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Mullens.

With the win, Santa Barbara has a record of 14-19. Bloomington falls to 20-13.
