Golden Cranes Get One-Run Win at Bloomington
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes defeated the Bloomington Longnecks, 6-5, in USPL Triple A action at Lookouts Ballpark, with Santa Barbara pitcher Toddster Gordo named player of the game. Gordo got the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed 8 hits and walked 0 over 7.2 innings. Gordo allowed 4 earned runs. Santa Barbara is now 13-18, Bloomington 19-12.

Santa Barbara used the timely hitting of Mario van Heijbeeck to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Golden Cranes on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Gordo.
