Ward Helps Lynx Run Win Streak to 7
|
Calgary first baseman Michael Ward was instrumental in his team's 6-3 win over the Texas Bronze Sox. Ward, who is tied for 4th in the PAAA in stolen bases with 11, went 3-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Lynx. Tekoa Kinsinger, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for the Lynx.
Brad Hargrove hit a run-scoring double off Van Lapointe in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Lynx in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Hargrove had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Ward said.
