The Brinkley Belugas defeated the Jersey City Tritons, 4-0, in USPL Triple A action at Belugas Ballpark, with Brinkley pitcher Ralph Greer named player of the game. With the win, the Belugas have a record of 16-11.

The Tritons had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Belugas going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old first baseman Jim MacRach came to the plate. MacRach hit a solo home run on a first pitch changeup from Jersey City hurler Alfred Osuch. It was MacRach's 2nd home run of the year.

"Winning is contagious," said MacRach. "We're looking forward to the next game."
