Jersey City third baseman Norm Chodorow made his presence felt in the 4-2 Tritons triumph over the Brinkley Belugas. Chodorow was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times. Earning his 9th save for Jersey City was Mac Hippenhammer. The second-place Tritons raised their record to 15-10.

Jersey City used the timely hitting of Phil Oostermeer to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tritons on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Chodorow told the Jersey City Daily News.
