Redlegs Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Belugas

Mei Zhŕo never let Brinkley get something going. The Sacramento right-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the Redlegs to a 4-1 win. Zhŕo, the winner, moves to 4-2. He threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. Broderick Evans earned the save for Sacramento, his 2nd of the year.
Nigel Sturges hit a run-scoring triple off Jordan Guérin in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Redlegs in front, 1-0. Sturges had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 2.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Zhŕo.
Sacramento is 6th in the Premier AAA with a record of 12-12.
