Victory Over Nobles Takes Bloomington to 14-8
|
Getting an impressive start from Augusto Durán, Bloomington beat Bakersfield by the score of 3-1. Durán picked up the win for Bloomington, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. Charlie Fairthorne earned the save for Bloomington, his 1st of the year.
Bloomington used the bat of Noah Bushby to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Longnecks ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"It was a good effort all around," said Bushby.
Bloomington is 14-8 and Bakersfield, with the loss, 13-9.
