The Calgary Lynx picked up a win at Lookouts Ballpark, knocking off the Bloomington Longnecks, 6-0. Starting pitcher Greg Fontenot, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Fontenot, now 1-1. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Lorenzo Díaz recorded the save for Calgary, his 1st of the season.

Kevin Malone had a big run-scoring single for the Lynx in the top of the second inning. With Calgary leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Quentin Bowers and stroked the single to left. It was his 14th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lynx ahead, 2-0.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Malone said after the game.
