Nobles Get Road Win, 3-1
|
The Bakersfield Nobles topped the Brinkley Belugas, 3-1, in USPL Triple A action at Belugas Ballpark. The player of the game was Bakersfield pitcher and Merrick, New York native Wilson Rangel. Bakersfield reliever Wilson Rangel was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Raneem Zogby took the loss for Brinkley. Losses have been few and far between for the Belugas so far this season. Their record drops to 13-6.
It could have been a different outcome for Bakersfield, had it not been for Ty Tomblin, the 32-year old center fielder . Tomblin contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the sixth inning to put Bakersfield up, 3-1.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Rangel told the Bakersfield Gazette.
